Tuesday/Thursday Friends Investigate Snowflakes

After lunch, we like to play cards and draw winter scenery.

How to Build a Human Snowflake:
First, we need an ice crystal in the center.

Then, we need our friends to represent the sides of the snowflake.

How many sides does a snowflake have? Six!

Our new favorite song is "Snowflakes, Snowflakes!"

"Dance all around..."

"Touch the ground..."

"In the air..."

"Everywhere!"

We use our penguin measuring sticks to investigate things in nature.

Let's make a prediction of how deep the snow is.

Wow! The snow is eight inches deep!

Wednesday Friends Celebrate Groundhog Day

11 little groundhog puppets in the making...

Our friend gives her groundhog the name, "Elsa."

Meet a few of our groundhogs!

These groundhogs are excited for more cold weather.

How many ice chunks do you see?

"Hello, may I take your order?"

Up, Up...

And away!

Our fort is big and strong.

I can see everything from up here!

Each day we dig closer to the Earth's center.

Come and try the soup!
Brrrr. This block of ice feels freezing cold.

Ta da! This week's special is apple pie.

A few friends plant acorns to share the Valentine's Day love with nature.

Sticks make great digging tools!

The pack leader takes our friends back for some yummy lunch.

Do we have to go inside?
