Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. John Ruskin
KWILD has come to an end for 2012-2013. We made precious memories...wondering, investigating, learning and discovering the great outdoors....each and every day that we had class. What a fabulous group of children. Thank you for embarking on this journey with us. We look forward to a new group of children next year....but this group will always hold a special place in our hearts. Love, Ms. K and Ms. T

Catching Up!
It is the first mild day of May:
Each minute sweeter than before,
The Robin sings from the tall oak
That stands outside our door.
There is a blessing in the air,
Which seems a sense of joy
To the green leaved trees, and grass in the green field.
William Wordsworth

April Wrap-Up
April has been a roller coaster weather month! We recorded 49 degrees on April 4th and 89 degrees on April 10th. Through it all, our outdoor classroom has been filled with the sights and scents that only the rebirth of springtime brings. KWILD students "adopted" a tree at the beginning of the school year and now we have documented all of the seasons. Some of our April activities included sunflower paintings and plantings, acrostic spring poem writing and bird studies. It's time for May, our final month of KWILD.

Signs of Spring
Spring has sprung in KWILD. We continue to learn about the animals around us and we can identify the cardinal, robin, nuthatch and chickadee...just to name a few. KWILD students are avid bird watchers! Also, our new tree cookies make for some fun obstacle course designs.
